Our nomination recognises our inclusive workshops that focus on creative personal development, education, and skill-building for young people and communities. At In Focus, we use photography and visual arts to empower, teach, and inspire young people; particularly those from vulnerable and underrepresented groups, including neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ youth, and various socioeconomic backgrounds.

Now celebrating their 14th year, the National Diversity Awards highlight the incredible work done by individuals and organisations dedicated to diversity and inclusion, especially important during times when these values are being challenged.

Winners will be announced at a special event at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on September 19, 2025, hosted by broadcaster and diversity champion Clare Balding, CBE. Clare shared, “Recognising those who go above and beyond to improve their communities is truly vital. These awards celebrate community heroes whose dedication and achievements might otherwise go unrecognised.”

Being recognised in this way means so much to our team. Inclusivity is at the heart of all we do, breaking down barriers to education, employment, and creativity. Our LGBTQIA+ groups in Southampton and the Isle of Wight, as well as ALL of our work, provide safe and nurturing spaces where everyone feels valued and supported, often for the very first time.

As Paul Sesay, CEO of Inclusive Companies and founder of the National Diversity Awards, said, “These shortlisted heroes show us how much goodness and humility exists in our communities. Their empathy and support is more vital than ever, especially in challenging times.”
